Military men in the State Security Service (SSS) operatives on Wednesday, raided two areas in Dakwa community in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and arrested six persons.
The security men were said to have arrived the town around 3:30 p.m. with eight pickup vans and arrested three of the suspects in a house at Area 8 of Dakwa.
A witness, who craved anonymity, told City News that another person, said to be stranger, was also arrested opposite the ward head’s house.
The other two suspects, who are siblings, said to be from Gombe State, were arrested around the town’s central area, where they operated tea business, a witness said.
Speaking to our reporter yesterday, one of the suspects’ wife, who gave her name as Fatima, said her husband, who works with a Construction Company as security man, was having a nap, when a man in plain cloth came to the house and requested her to call him out.
“I told him that he was not around because he was having a rest at the time due to the nature of his work, but when he insisted that he has sighted him from outside when he was returning home, I called him and he responded immediately. They picked him along with two other persons, who have been living with us for about one year now,’’ she said.
She added that the other two persons, whose names are Ya Mala, and Ya Musa, are recharge cards seller and laundry operator respectively.
Also speaking, a relative of one of the other suspects, who craved anonymity, said after he heard about the incidence, he went to the Zuma barrack along Kaduna road, where the military men were said to have come from, but was told that all the suspects were taken to Abuja, after some moment at the barrack.
When our reporter visited Dakwa Police Outpost, the Officer-in-Charge, said he heard about the operation but has no details.
